My dear friend Robert passed away yesterday. He had pancreatic cancer. He didnt tell anyone he was ill, he just did what he had to do. I will always love him!
He had an endearing way of making everyone around him laugh. He was one in a million and will be missed deeply.

I hope the angels take wonderful care of you my dear sweet friend.

It has happened to me. I have been asked to change my gamertag. Its really sad, Ive had this gamertag since 2004. It all started in Feb. It was my husbands birthday. I bought for him xboxlive, and Links 2004. We had our xbox over and year and had never played it...ok we played it, once or twice. After all we had Ps2, Ps1, gamecube, nintendo 64 (3 of them), and we loved to game. He opened his gift and was very excited. We got the xbox hooked up, signed in and in minutes we were live. My husband was enjoying his new game. About a month later I had to be out of work due to surgery. I was in the family room and there it sat....the controller to his xbox. I couldnt resist, I picked up my husbands controller and powered up the xbox. (NOT 360).  I signed onto live, and in minutes I was in a game with 3 other people. We started our game and chatted it up, this was awesome! By the end of our game we had some pretty good laughs, oh and some great shots too! I had just made my very first online friends. Shorty after that my husband went out and bought me my very own xbox. It was my very own, I could play as long as I wanted...I DIDNT HAVE TO SHARE! Pretty soon my husband was beating me at Links 2004, we had joined the online community and started playing in tournaments. Our friends list grew! This changed everything about gaming for us.

 

Here it is 2009 and Im being asked to change my gamertag. Oh well, for those who know me and have been on my list since the beginning, you will always know me by my original gamertag! I changed it to Princess Booby, yeah I know its sorta the same...Im sure I will again be asked to change it...until then........

Ok....Im back....didnt know I was gone did ya? Well I was sorta on vacation from Wed. the 4th thru Sunday The 8th. Well...if you can call it that at all. I worked like a dog over the 4th of July Holiday. First let me say...I hope all of you had a great Holiday break, whether it was Canada Day, or Independence Day! I've been extremely busy the entire time. :)

We did some work at mom's. Finally got alot of the bigger things out and now we can go in, clean up, and sell the house. :) We had a yard sale. We are having another one this up coming weekend. Seems there's always going to be some kind of hostility between the three of us. I dont know if that will ever change. But I do know other things are changing.

Its hard to accept sometimes "CHANGE". But its a part of growing, and living that you cant stop. You can't always control what changes either....even when you try soo hard. Ok enough of that. :)

My baby gurl, I love her very much, but she is making me crazy. At 17, she is reaching for her freedom....soon in like  six days she will be 18...its on then *%^#&!!!  As of this very moment she is sooo grounded...its not even funny. Maybe I over reacted...dont know for sure...but I was really upset with her. She and her buddy stayed out all night...and drank :(    I was soo pissed at her...for lots of reasons, not just the staying out, or the drinking...ok yeah the drinking for many reasons too :) She is diabetic....and alcohl turns to ??? SUGAR! She already doesnt take proper care of herself, refuses to check her blood. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I CAN DO FOR HER...she is 17....18. Everyone says she will come around....that this is a phase, but I dont see how she can survive a phase like this one. Anyways.....I have my hands full with her :)

I heard someone tell Princess Boobie to go play outside and she was like 'screw that!' so we did some gaming. Our gamerscore is currently 4617 points. She opened up Rainbow Six® Vegas, 3D Ultra™ Minigolf, and then Princess Boobie went to get some food. I told her to bring me back something but I got seriously dissed. Also, Princess Boobie and I have played 10 days in a row... I think that qualifies us for a badge or something... whatever...

The  blogs are sooo cute, and today I got a new badge..whoot!

I know I get excited over the smallest things eh?

Now onto the ugly stuff...

Have you ever been to a million doctors and none of them agree whats wrong with you???

I HAVE

I had skin cancer.....yada yada, im sure i told everyone.

So...it happened again..and yet again, so three bouts with skin cancer...im about sick of it!

I have a dermatologist, and a surgeon, and yet another dermatologist, im a firm believer in second opinions :)

So...my dermatologis sends me to the surgeon to have my tumor excised, and I have to be followed by the surgeon for a year after the proceedure. Well seem like everytime I went in to see the surgeon, he wanted to cut something off of me...so my last and final visit I inform him he wont be cutting anything else..find another way..so he drops me as a patient..haha!

Back to my dermatologist

He tells me that since this keeps reoccuring that I have Bowens disease..great! :)

Now I have a disease too, im feeling lovely

So what causes it? Well let me share with you what i googled for causes...

Like other forms of skin cancer, SCC in situ is mainly caused by chronic sun exposure and aging. There are two other less important causes which are unique to SCC in situ. The wart virus that causes cervical cancer (HPV 16) is often found to be infecting SCC in situ. It is thought that infection with this virus is one of the reasons why two people may have the same amount of sun damage, but only one keeps getting skin cancers. The other factor that causes SCC in situ is arsenic, the same poison made famous by the play "Arsenic and Old Lace" and the Russian villain Rasputin. Arsenic contaminated some old water wells, and also many years ago was used in some medical elixirs. People with mild Arsenic poisoning didn't die, but tend to develop cancers, both of the skin and internally. For a time it was thought that SCC in situ was a sign that cancer was going to develop internally, until it was discovered that was a false impression caused by arsenic poisoning.

Ok...so i can exclude arsenic poisoning, unless Jason is trying to kill me and I havent caught on yet. :)

I can rule out the wart virus...cause during all this crappy crap, i paid a visit to my gyno, and she did not one but two pap smears on me, drew blood, did my iron, and chlesterol count. She checked me for Aids, HPV, and well all the other sexually transmitted diseases..and IM CLEAN! :)

So I guess it was from the sunshine?????, but the place that my cancers happen, dont get much sun if you catch my drift :)

Sooooooooo back to square one right?

OK I do have something called folliculitis, its damage of the hair follicles, and on occasion I get ingrown hairs.....and i dont have to shave to get them!

Now when the pathologist read my biopsy report he concluded that when I get an ingrown hair, and it becomes infected, the bowen's disease finds that and then i get a tumor. So he says the hair follicle is the host for my bowens, and he and my dermatologist recomended lazer hair removal to keep it at bay.

BUT

INSURANCE doesnt cover it..its considered a cosmetic proceedure, and trust me when I tell you lazer hair removal is soo expensive.

And since I was out of work a good part of last year, Ive caused my family quite a bit of financial problems. I guess I should of went to work and told mom to stick it, but im just not that kind of person.

Anyways, I cant afford to have the surgery.

So for my second opinion, i go to a very well established hospital here  called Baptist hospital, they are famous for their work with cancer, diabetes and other serious conditions.

I see the dermatologist there, and she informs me that my other doctor is just wrong. That my ingrown hair and my skin cancer have no connection, even after I TELL HER ITS MY BODY AND I KNOW HOW IT STARTED OUT AS AN INGROWN HAIR AND I KNOW I PICKED AT IT AND I KNOW IT GOT INFECTED AND I KNOW THAT IT BECAME A TUMOR, she says we are all wrong, there is no way that a hair follicle can be a host.

She wants to see my slides from my biopsy to make her own dertermination, so I sign consent to send off for my slides.

This was in may btw...and its now June 19th and finally today I get her ass on the phone to tell me what she found from looking at my slides...wanna know what she told me????

She agrees it was a squamous cell carcinoma.....ok that I already knew, seeing as how my tumor was biopsied twice and both times my dr. said squamous cell...HELLO TELL ME SOMETHING I DONT KNOW....LIKE DO I REALLY HAVE BOWEN'S DISEASE, OR DID I JUST HAVE A FEW TUMORS AND THATS THAT?

She cant tell me anything, just said that she didnt feel lazer surgery would help me any. And she said there is no way in this world that the ingrown hair follicle could be a host.

SO WHAT CAUSED MY FUCKING CANCER YOU DUMBASS  ???????

SORRY IM AT A REAL LOSE FOR WHATS GOING ON WITH MY PERSON ANYMORE.

Now im sitting here wondering what do i do next. I dont go back to see this lady in Baptist hospital until July 18th, in the mean time I still have no answers as to what to do for myself, what is causing my tumors and what can be done to prevent it if anything.

I FEEL LIKE RUNNING OUTSIDE AND SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS..

just not sure what id be screaming :)

Im feeling a little lost here in my life.

I am planning to go to yet another dermatologist and get yet a 3rd opinion, and then compare that with the two very different opinions I already have and see if its even close to them others.

 

ON another note from hell, my stupid brother hasnt done anything to move the closing of mom's estate. He has done nothing but delay, delay, delay!

Several times we have set up a time to go to mom's house and finish cleaning it out and set up for a yard sale to get rid of the items no one wants. Everytime we set it up..he calls and says something has come up and he cant be there.....so we ask can we do it alone..he firmly says NO, but nothing in the house is anything he wants, so I personally dont see the problem, meantime mom's house is dying.

Houses that arent lived in die quick.

NOW if the fucker would get his ass in gear, let us sell mom's things, get the house all cleaned out, then we could put the house up for sale...and eventually ID HAVE THE MONEY TO HAVE THE SURGERY I NEED.

Maybe he is hoping I will die before its settled. I havent a clue what to do about him and that situation. ANY ADVISE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED ;)

Other than all that, and my daughter having a bout with skin cancer and an infection in her leg, and not having her diabetes under controll, and gratuation, and still not having her drivers license, and the threat that she will come off our insurance in July when she turns 18, and the fact that she hasnt a clue what she wants to do with her life...other than all that..IM FINE!!!

LOL!

I have one positive here, and it will only be positive if it works.

Ive started taking Chantix, its the new quit smoking pill. I started on Monday, oh and I got a prescription for the old man too.....he also started on Monday.

Maybe we can both quit smoking..keep your fingers crossed for us!

Ok thats all I have to report, now I need to make a few rounds and come visit all you lovely people.
